In July and August...

Sometimes the only way to feel like its summer in San Francisco is either to leave, or to create mini-vacations for yourself.
For those of you travelling, we stock a full array of travel-size hair care options. All of these products meet TSA regulations. If you have a little more room in your suitcase, we recommend Rene Furterer Sun Care products. These are specially designed to protect your hair from sun, chlorine, and salt. Also check our summer sales on Renu and Joico Design products.

If you don't have time to leave and chase the sun, come get a massage package, and spread them out over a week, or the rest of the month. Bodywork sessions build on one another, will enhance the benefit you receive, and be a small but gratifying summer getaway! For the next 8 weeks, when you get a 3 massage package, we offer a bonus session for anyone you'd like. Surely you have a friend who also needs a mini-vacation?

We've added two new massage therapists, Jeriel and Margarita, to our schedule. You can learn about both these ladies below. For this edition of our newsletter, Margarita has also written an article about how massage can help you on your way to becoming a healthier you this summer. The next issue of Hilites will be published in September. See you then!

This summer detoxify your body, lose weight, and feel more open and grounded

From Margarita, R.M.T
Summer is the time of the year where we change our diet, become more active outdoors, and rejuvenate our bodies. The sun calls us to spend more time outside and get healthier. Massage is a great way to continue and deepen the process of body detoxification and cleansing. Getting a massage aids the body by getting rid of toxins left behind by a sluggish metabolism, poor nutrition or accumulated stress. Massages help with every aspect of body functioning. Once your circulation improves and the body is rid of needless toxins, you will see improvement in your digestion, it will speed up the process of weight loss, and will also contribute to clearing skin of impurities.

Depending on your body needs, we can apply our experience to create a personalized approach to your massage. We can do a more focused massage that consists of brushing technique to promote circulation, a lymphatic drainage massage or visceral manipulation. You can also choose a regular therapeutic or relaxing massage and add an extra half hour for the additional services listed above. We recommend that you do at least four sessions to really feel the full benefits of these therapeutic visits.
