This month Atelier Emmanuel brings in 2 new lines that will change the way you and Atelier Emmanuel take care of your hair. We keep up-to-date with innovations in the field of hair cosmetics to offer our clients top-of-the-line products. One of our newest addition is a revolutionary ammonium-free color system from L’Oreal, named INOA. We are also pleased to introduce the new retail line SOJOURN, recently launched by Elan Sassoon. In the same vein as hair care, Charles and Pauline were able to glean some great tips to share with you during Philippe Tapprest's styling demo in San Francisco for the launch of Rene Furterer’s new styling system, VEGETAL.

SOJOURN : Positive chemistry for hair

We are very excited to introduce you to the new haircare line SOJOURN. The line was co-founded by Elan Sassoon, the son of Vidal Sassoon. Certainly part of what made Sojourn stand out for us, is their commitment to top quality ingredients, and to not using those like parabens, denatured alcohol, formaldehyde or preservatives that rob hair of its natural beauty and are harmful to the ecosystem.
We also like that their products replicate and maintain the inherent state of hair, through the use of the ingredients similar to those of hair (such as keratin and cystine), as well as a pH range of 4.5 - 5.5 in order to maintain the natural state of your skin and hair. Sojourn is interested in educating stylists and creating products that fit a stylist’s idea of what a product should be, and do. Meet Meredith

Meredith is a student at SF State, finishing a BA in Anthropology. She has three years of administrative experience and is interested in in all facets of beauty, ranging from art history to the chemistry of beauty products, making her a great fit for coordinating the front desk.

Meredith covers the front desk from Thursday at 3.00 pm to Monday at 6.00 pm.

Behind the scenes of RF Vegetal Styling System demo with famous French stylist Philippe Tapprest

Charles and Pauline had the opportunity to translate for Philippe Tapprest during his kinetic 3 day demo tour in San Francisco. Philippe is a famous French hairstylist and Rene Furterer’s worldwide artistic director. Check out the pictures!
During the 3 day tour, Rene Furterer’s new VEGETAL styling system was introduced:
- Vegetal Styling gel with Cakile extract - strong hold
- Vegetal Holding Mousse with Cakile extract - structured volume
- Vegetal Finishing Spray with natural Cakile extract - Satin finish
Cakile extract locks moisture in the cuticle and prevents hair from getting dry - a common problem with many hairstyling products.
Shadowing Philippe while he played with hair and transformed styles was an incredible experience. He is a real artist, who can sculpt and create everything with hair. He really showed the potential of Rene Furterer hairstyling products. Philippe’s fave product was the Vegetal Finishing Spray to finish styles, but also create original styles and updos. Charles is excited to incorporate these lesson into how we design your look.

La Soirée, The 29th Beaujolais & Beyond Festival

The “Beaujolais Nouveau” is coming soon… This annual event celebrates the harvesting and release of the first wine of the year with a traditional tasting of the Beaujolais Nouveau that takes place at the same time in France and all over the world.

For this occasion, the French American Chamber of Commerce of San Francisco is organizing its annual fundraising event on Friday, November 19th, La Soiree Beaujolais and Beyond Festival. There is a $150 Atelier Emmanuel gift certificate auctioned! This event is a great opportunity to mingle with Bay Area Francophiles and other participating businesses. With an estimated 1,000 guests and a presentation of a large variety of French Wines and Gourmet Food, this is the best annual festival in town!
